Birth Doula Services

I will meet with each client for a complimentary interview to determine if I am a good fit for your birth team. We will discuss what you would envision your birth experience to be and what my qualifications are to aid you in that endeavor. Once I am hired, the following services are available:

* One to Two prenatal visits to discuss birth options, comfort techniques, and any other topics of your choice.

* Assistance in writing a birth plan, if you choose.

* Unlimited phone support during pregnancy and after the birth.

* Unlimited email support during pregnancy and after the birth.

* 24-hour on-call availability from 37 weeks until the birth.

* Continuous labor support once my presence is requested at the birth (usually when a mother is in active labor).

* Immediate postpartum support at the place of birth for the first hour or two

* Assistance initiating breastfeeding, if that is your choice

* Availability to take pictures/video during and immediately postpartum, if desired.

* A home visit after the birth to offer breastfeeding information and community resources and to review the birth experience.

The cost of birth doula services is $500. A $100 retainer fee is due when you hire me along with a signed contract. The balance is due within 2 weeks of the birth. Payment plans are available, if necessary. Please do not let financial issues prohibit you from inquiring about Baby Lady Doula Services.

Other Services:

*Chiropractic care and/or acupuncture for the expectant mother before and during the birth, if desired.

*Chiropractic assessment and cranial therapy for the newborn within the first few hours after birth, if desired.
